@BryanLunduke this is such a valid thing to bring up, I'm sure...but when I thiink about how I really feel about that headline, I'm thinking of the way I have been so much bombarded with absolutely frivolous news pieces of headlines on those lines that I initially reacted mentally with, "yeah so??"
Because news is such a business and content has no value over viewer engagement that we are asked to pay attention to any and every small detail that doesn't matter at all. or does it really? #rant
@BryanLunduke I agree that a spokesperson for Linux should run the Linux desktop - but what about mobile / tablet? If Zemlin ran the Linux desktop but had a iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch - would that be acceptable?
I think Android is a s**t show. So I use an iPhone and Apple Watch. I have just bought an Xperia X to run Sailfish OS & am helping crowd fund the Connect Watch (Asteroid OS) - but I have sympathy for those who chose iOS over Android. A grey area? But should it be?
@kz6fittycent @BryanLunduke what if .. while his Gentoo laptop was recompiling, his Ubuntu back up machine was compromised by some vindictive Mac user who (in the knowledge that he was gong to be on a plane in a seat in the eye line of Matthew Garrett) maliciously installed MacOS ..
This happens & dogs eat homework.
In truth, the Credibility of the Linux Foundadtion has been damaged as a result of this moral malfeasance of misrepresantion, & Bryan's observations are justified as a result
I know you posted first because I can see the time stamp but believe me that I did not see your toot before tweeting!
To much chat on the weekend? Our brainwaves synced? Hehehe..
